Our Story

Hi, its Flodela, I own Fabric Superstore. I wanted to take a few minutes to tell you my story of why i started Fabric Superstore and a little bit about what makes Fabric Superstore different.

After selling on platforms such as eBay and Etsy for over a decade and paying up to 40% in fees I decided I needed my own website not only for me but for my customers too. The prices on my website are substantially lower on my website as I don’t have to pass on the costs of the fees.

Why does the UK need ANOTHER online fabric supplier? Well…we do things a little different here. We are not mis-leading or greedy, I am a firm believer of treat those as you would like to be treated. As a customer I was feed up of sellers luring me in with appealing prices for fabrics only to then realise it was for a sample of a fat quarter, that’s why all of our prices are always advertised and sold by the meter.

Another thing that makes us different is we want to do our bit to look after the planet, that’s why when you purchase fabric from us we will not send paper order notes (you already have the order note via email when you place your order), we use minimum packaging and sometimes we will reuse packaging that we have received from our suppliers.

You will never find animal based products on our website, we do not and never will sell real animal fur, leather or suede…and that is a promise! No matter the profit margin, we believe the best place for fur is on the animal! Rest assured all of our “Fur” products are fake man made fur.

I firmly believe in giving back, that’s why I have committed to supporting charities. For every full price meter sold we will donate 20p to charity. Want to find out more on how Fabric Superstore sells fabric to support charity?
